The NCAA said Hagan and Ramsey [undefeated that season] could not play in the NCAA tournament because they were graduate students. They both were in school the season Ky was not allowed to play a schedule because of the penalty for shaving points in 1948. That shows the mentality prevalent in the NCAA at that time.
